Team practice is made clear by delivering a 'Training Needs Analysis' based on the exploration of key performance indicators. Perceived current performance is identified through the delivery of an interactive workshop and individual interviews; data is collected, collated and analysed to reveal common themes relating to team performance.

The participating team are asked to understand and explain the core structure of their working team and how each member of that team impact on each other. Using sporting analogies team members begin to recognise that both good and poor performance will impact on the team as a whole. The team structure, its cohesion, goal/s, vision, roles, responsibilities, technical and mental skills form our initial investigation. Many teams are surprised that we begin our analysis at a basic functional level, however if this basic structure has gaps then optimal performance is impaired and in many cases impossible.

When all things physical are equal in terms of business setting and technical availability the differentiating performance factors relate to team function and mental agility. Mental agility refers to how we cope and perform. Stress management, motivation, confidence, anxiety, determination, focus, concentration, mental toughness and resilience are a few attributes that with positive use can greatly improve the performance within both a team and individual.

Following the analysis of the data Active Aims compiles a detailed report entirely based on the information provided by the participating team. The report will help team leaders and directors develop a strategy to perform optimally and become more competitive within the market place.
